TOKYO AND ROSE is a 3-piece space rock band based in London.
The band formed when Pitt, who had moved from Thailand, met Jamie, in Oxford, UK during their school days. They met Mahnoor, who by then was the band's 3rd guitarist, after she moved from Pakistan, at King's College London.
Despite our different backgrounds, we instantly connected over our shared vision - to create a band with an unforgettable sound.
We aim to make rock music that is synth-heavy and futuristic yet simultaneously groovy and riff-driven. We alternate between heavy tones and more melodic tracks to create a shifting dynamics.
Our lyrics often juxtapose surreal, futuristic references with more introspective themes, such as that of love or mental health. Currently, we have released our first single, "Troublemaker".
